What it costs?

At Priestley LGV Training, we do not dress up our prices. We charge the flat fee for all our training courses plus the cost of the practical test. That's it. Thats what you pay. No hidden extras.

Cat C - Our Standard course is £1,395 including DVSA Reversing test and on road test fees

Our standard course is 15 hours behind the wheel One-to-one training with test at the end of course.

This tried and tested course is ideal to get our trainees to test standard in our Cat C (Rigid) vehicle

Cat C+E - Our 'Upgrade' Course is £1,740 including DVSA Reversing test and on road test fees

This course is 20 hours behind the wheel one-to-one training with test at end of course .

This course is designed to give maximum benefit for those upgrading from Cat C to Artic (Category C+E)

Our Direct Access from Cat B to Cat C+E Courses

Our Short Cat C+E Course is £2,100 including DVSA Reversing test and on road test fees

This course is 25 hours behind the wheel one to one training followed by test at end of course.

Suitable for shunters or those wanting direct access to Artic training who have had

previous experience on large vehicles

Our Standard 30 hour C+E Course is £2,440 including DVSA Reversing test and on road test fees

This course is best suited for those with no experience of driving large vehicles and will give the trainee the amount of time required for full confidence behind the wheel of a full size artic.

Should you be unsure of your capabilities with a large vehicle dont worry.

We can arrange an assessment drive if you feel you need one, for only £65.

We can then tailor the course to suit your personal requirements

We offer a half day refresher course at £350

for drivers who already hold an LGV licence but have not driven for some time.

Personalised one-to-one training

We find that most people can reach the standard required to pass the test with the courses we offer, but if you have any particular requirements please feel free to call and ask.

We are always happy to discuss what the customer wants.

All our courses are solo one-to-one courses. Just you and the instructor in the cab throughout the course.

Please Note: All new LGV drivers now have to complete Modules 2 and 4 (CPC) prior to driving commercially.

We are happy to meet you personally and discuss your requirements before you decide to book your training with us. We want all our customers to be fully confident and happy with the course they are booking.
Many of our tainees have different requirements and we do our best to tailor our courses to suit the individual.
We only use full size vehicles to give the trainee realistic experience of driving a truck for a living.
Nobody leaves Priestley LGV without feeling fully confident that they are now fully trained and ready for a life in the haulage industry.

What do I do now?

If you are just starting out with your truck training you will need a medical.
You can use your own doctor or the recommended ones below who specialises in LGV Medicals.
You will also need provisional entitlement on your driving licence for LGV. (See our Links Page to download Medical forms and order D2 Provisional Licence Application forms)
Pass your Theory and Hazard Perception test then start your driver training with Priestley LGV Training.
